Sexy Actress Rita Dominic Lists GEJ’s Achievement

Nollywood actress Rita Dominic has thrown her weight behind the re-election campaign for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in a 2 minutes, 48 seconds video her team released yesterday.

Rita says she is voting for Pres. Jonathan again because he has a long list of achievement not recognized by the media. Jonathan signed Freedom of information bill into law and allowed women into power. Rita also believes Pres GEJ will tackle the issue of security in the next four years without any assistance.

To underline the purpose of the short video, she explained that every Nigerian cannot afford to remain silent at this crucial time.

“I have followed the 2015 election with keen interest and have deduced that this is definitely a critical vote in Nigeria’s young democratic history. As a result I feel that this is not a time to keep silent in the face of the trials and tribulations we face as citizens of Nigeria.

First and foremost, I would love to make a passionate appeal to my beloved fans and
generality of Nigerians by saying that by God’s grace, there will be life after the elections have come and gone.

We should not destroy relationships or in some extreme cases resort to violence because our choices of candidates differ. I have noticed that there seems to be so much intolerance for the views and choices of others, which has resulted in cyber bullying and intimidation.

That said I would like to let everyone know that I will be voting for President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice- President Namadi Sambo on February 14, 2015. I have outlined some of the major reasons for my vote in a short video titled “I will vote again” directed by Mildred Okwo. Kindly take a few minutes of your time to watch this video here.

For those who have not made up their minds, which candidate to vote for, I implore that you visit ForwardNigeria.com to read and see for yourselves many of our President’s achievements.

Kano Police Arrests 12 In Gay Wedding.

Nigerian authorities in the northwestern Kano State have arrested what they described as 12 "homosexuals" who were planning to hold a gay wedding ceremony.

"These men were arrested as they planned to hold a wedding among themselves," Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, head of Kano State's Hisbah board police, told reporters.

"They are homosexuals; their acts are against the law," he said.

The board enforces sharia (Islamic law) in Nigerian northern states.

Nigerian law criminalizes homosexuality and gay marriage. Anyone convicted of the crime risks at least 14 years in jail.

Daurawa said the arrests were made on Monday, adding that one suspect - referred to as the "groom" in one of the weddings - remains at large.

Daurawa said the idea for a "gay wedding" had been initiated by one of the suspects, who had "invited his friends from different states for the wedding disguised as a birthday ceremony on social media."

Auwal Samaila, a local resident who witnessed the arrests, said the suspects had been rounded up at the Hills Value recreation area in Dawaki Kudi, some 25km from Kano city.

"I was going home yesterday when I saw some youths running away, but I didn't know what was happening until I saw Hisba men taking people away," Samaila told The Anadolu Agency.

"I later learned they had come to organize a gay marriage. Some of their friends had also come from Maiduguri and other states to witness it," he said.

In 2014, an Upper Sharia Court in northeastern Bauchi State arraigned four suspects for engaging in homosexual activities, asserting that such acts violate the Sharia Law that is applied in the state.

Prosecutors told the court at the time that the four had been arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy and sodomy in violation of section 126 and 133 of the 2001 Sharia penal code.

Some of the suspects were later freed for lack of evidence. Others, however, still face trial.

UK-Nigns Arrested In Sham Marriage Disaster!

A BRIDE-TO-BE was arrested along with her groom minutes before they were due to wed in a sham marriage.

Nigerian Joseph Iwueke was about to marry Slovakian Ingrida Stojkova, from Daubhill, in a bid to keep him in the UK.

But Home Office investigators swooped to arrest the pair in July last year after suspicions were raised by a registrar in Leeds just before the bogus ceremony was about to take place.

Stojkova was led away in a white dress, while Iwueke was arrested by officers in his wedding suit.

Organisers Obinna Odelugo, aged 49, a British national, and Slovakian Robert Stojka, aged 48, were both jailed for two years and three months after admitting conspiracy to facilitate a breach of immigration law.

Stojka, of Higher Market Street, Farnworth, and Odelugo, of Greenhaven Drive, London, were found with £3,000 in cash when officers arrested them at the register office.

The money was seized by investigators and was forfeited by the pair under the Proceeds of crime Act at their sentencing at Leeds Crown Court today.

Iwueke, of Meynell Heights, Leeds, was jailed for two years and nine months for the same offence, and an extra fraud offence in relation to a false document. He admitted both charges.

Stojkova, of Southend Street, Daubhill, was given a 15-month prison term after pleading guilty to conspiracy to facilitate a breach of immigration law.

Home Office investigator Mark Runagall said: "This group are now paying the price for what was a cynical attempt to bypass the UK’s immigration laws.

“Sham marriage abuse will not be tolerated.

"We work closely with registrars to identify suspicious marriages and we will rigorously pursue those who try to cheat the system.

“Whether you are an organiser or a participant, we will catch up with you and you will be sent to prison.”

A sham marriage or civil partnership typically occurs when a non-European national marries someone from the European Economic Area as a means of attempting to gain long-term residency and the right to work and claim benefits in the UK.

See List Of Safest Airlines In The World.

Every year, Germany’s Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Centre(JACDEC) releases its annual list based on an airline’s cumulative performance in the past 30 years. The organization has released its list for 2015.

Number one on the list is Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific. JADEC says the carrier has had no fatalities and no hull loss events in the past three decades. Next on the list is Abu Dhabi-based Emirates, the largest airline in the Middle East. JADEC lauded the carrier for this achievement despite a period of immense growth from the 1990s until now.

On the list at number three is Taiwan-based Eva Air, which JADEC says it has always been among the best in terms of operational safety. But because of its smaller size, the airline lacks substantial numbers of revenue traffic and only began operating in 1991.

The Netherlands’ KLM came in fifth place, making it Europe’s safest airline. Rounding out the top 10 are: Air New Zealand, Qantas, China’s Hainan Airlines, JetBlue (the only U.S. carrier in the top 10) and Etihad Airways.

The JADEC report noted that Malaysia Airlines falling from number 34 to number 57 on the list, driven by the disappearance of Flight 370 and the shooting down of Flight 17.

The safest regions in the world, according to JADEC, were North America and Eurasia, which includes Russia and the countries east of Ukraine, with the region not posting a single flight accident death. The Latin America region posted 10 deaths, mostly on flights with vintage machines on non-scheduled operations.

Africa experienced 18 aircraft losses and 134 fatalities in 2014, JADEC reported. The most deaths occurred in the Asia-Pacific region, where the half of all fatalities occured in 2014, it added.

JADEC is not the only organization to rate airline safety. In its latest list, AirlineRatings.com rated Qantas number one, based on the Australian flag carrier’sfatality-free record in the jet era. It was followed on the list in alphabetical order by Air New Zealand, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Eva Air, Finnair, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines. The rankings, according to the website, are based a range of factors related to audits from aviation’s governing bodies such as the FAA and ICAO as well as government audits and the airline’s fatality record.
